• It has a Unitary semi-presidential. republic with Klaus Iohannis as the President and Nicolae Ciuca as the Prime Minister.

• The Romanian landscape is one-third mountainous and one-third forested, with the remainder made up of hills and plains. The climate is temperate and marked by four distinct seasons.

• Romanian is the official language of the country. Hungarian is the only other
language of Romania that is spoken by more than a million people.
